Day 23

I spent the morning out enjoying the sunshine. It is always nice to feel the sun return, though it is often a bit of a false awakening at this time of year. There are blackbirds everywhere, which we do not tend to get, but I discovered they are nesting nearby.

I rolled back the FOI release aggregation. Ran a scan yesterday as per my DPIA and 1,400 alerted as iffy, so linking to them seemed like a bad idea. Excluding this part mitigates almost every risk, so from a compliance standpoint it will all be much simpler. I’d still like to come back to this at some point.

I have finished reducing the reading age for the EIR branch of the refusal tool. I have hit my target in most places, but a couple of exceptions are fairly technical, so it is hard to preserve meaning and not go on a bit. Next task is to do the same for the FOISA ones. I’m on track to have that all done by the start of next week.

I’ve been looking into analytics too, and what a GDPR friendly solution might be. Google collects much more info than I’d ever need, so I’d probably opt for an alternative like Plausible if I go for anything at all.
